It has become an aditction for me, I'm even pinning things about Pintrest.  A couple of my favorites are: Pintrest is like electronic hoarding, which is good cause I can't afford to be a real hoarder and pin ter est (n.): A fun reminder of the clothes I will never afford/fit in to , the home decor I will never aford/fit into my small home, the recipes and crafts I am too lazy to ever make, the sayings I wasn't clever enough to think of on my own, and the photos I wish I had taken but didn't.

Cross Those x's

I've been cross stitching for more than 20 years and I love it.  It's my favorite way to relax.  I've come a long way since I started from aida cloth and just DMC to dyed linen and evenweave and silk threads.   I love doing exchanges and RR and really miss my sitching friends in Nova Scotia.

Books, Books and More Books

Today I'm going to tell you about some of my favorite authors to read,.  You will definately see my taste is very eclectic, almost as much as my taste in music.

Here are some of my favorites:

Maeve Binchey, I think I've read almost every one of her books, I was so sad when she passed a way this year.  I wish more of her books had been made into movies, you may remember Circle of Friends.

 Terry Brooks, told you I was eclectic.  I was introduced to Fantasy books about 10 years ago and just love the Shannara series.

Sophie Kinsella, these books are so cute, and I am a Shopaholic.

Joanna Campbell Slan, these are a new discovery, a cute mystery series.  I also like that the main character is a scrapbooker.

Raymond Feist, another Fantasy author that I am currently reading and loving.

Since I bought my Kobo last year I am reading so much more and loving not having to carry a big book around with me.  If you have a favorite author I'd love to hear about them, I'm always looking for something to read.

In my last post I told you about how I joined Close to My Heart in this one I;m going to tell you about lia sophia and how I became an advisor for them.

I love selling CTMH but since I also love to scrapbook, for 11 years now, most of my profits have found their way into my scrapbook room so I decided I needed another way to make some money I could spend on other things.  In March my mom had a lia sophia party which I atteded and fell in love with their jewellery so I booked a party as well.  After receiving all the jewellery I got for hosting a party I realized there was a lot more I wanted so I signed up to be an advisor.  Since I started I've purchased a beautiful Canon camera and the extra money has allowed me to make payments on a new car.

Two Days

and two posts, must be a record for me :)  I thought I would share a little bit about how I became a consultant for CTMH.

When Aaron was 8 months old I became a single parent, I won't go into the details here but needles to say it came as a shock to me.  I have to say I stumbled through life for about a year and then I had decided I needed to pull up my panites and get on with life for Aaron's sake.  It was only a few months later that Aaron got his ASD diagnosis and life changed again for me.  He was now being inrolled in the ABA program at Eastern Health, our local health care board, which meant home therapy and someone, ie me, being at home for thirty hours a week while he was in therapy.  So my plan for Aaron going to daycare and me going back to work went out the window.  I love my son to death but being at home pretty much by myself all day and night was driving me crazy so I had to do something where I could interact with other people.  I decided to look into direct sales companies, I knew about Partylite, Pampered Chef and Tupperware but none of those really suited me I also knew about Stampin Up and Creative Memories because I had been scrapbooking for abt 6 years then.  Creative Memories didn't suit my scrapbooking style although I love their tools, I knew someone who sold Stampin Up so I didn't want to join them.  Then I remembered going to a party a few years back in Nova Scotia for another company and after some research I found Close to My Heart.

My Brand New Blog

Hi and Welcome to my brand new blog.  I've decided to revamp my bloging life and try to creat a life journal type blog.  There are lots of new things happening around here and I want to try and record them mostly so I don't forget anything but also to share them with my friends, old and new.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Deanne, most importantly Mom to Aaron, secondly Independant Advisor for lia sophia jewellery and Consultant for Close to My Heart scrapbooking and stamping, advid reader, cross stitcher, and shopper.  Self proclaimer Pintrest-aholic, fantasy interior designer, and total procrastinator.

This is a picture of Aaron and I taken on his 5th birthday, July 28th.  Aaron was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Sept 2008, thus the name of my blog.  One of the big changes happening here is Aaron starts school on Thursday, thankfully he will be there to hold my hand.  He's the sweetest little boy in the world and I am so lucky to have him.  One of the things that has helped me over the last few years is reading Natalie's wonderful blog about her son with Asperger's Syndrome: My Yellow Apple

I think that's a pretty good introduction of Aaron and I, don't want to bore you to death on the first post.
