Renovation Decorating, and Organization to do list Part 1

There are so many things I want to do around the house and since summer is starting to wind down I thought I would start by making a list.  Some of these will only take an hour to do and some will require a budget to complete but having them all in one place will help me accomplish them.

Starting on the 3rd floor

Aaron's Room

We've recently painted Aaron's room, bought new Mario bedding and  replaced the light so most of his room is done but there are a few things to finish up

1. paint the closet
2. install a closet organizer
3. put some art on the wall
4. make curtains

Guest Room

1. paint the room
2. buy new bedding
3. organize
4. decorate
5. make curtains
6. paint furniture

My Room

1. paint
2. fix ceiling
3. decorate
4. install closet organizer
5. new window treatment

Bathroom

1. paint
2. new tub
3. new toilet
4. new vanity
5. organize

Linen Closet

1. organize

General 3rd Floor

1. scrap and paint window
2. replace and paint doors

Pictures as promised

Last post I promised pictures and here they are.  First up is Aaron's Room, I painted a really pretty blue colour called Starry Night and then did stripes on one wall with Stop Sign Red, White, and Leaf Green.  We then bought a Mario comforter and stuck Mario Peel and Stick stickers on the walls.

 

 

Next up is some pre- Close to My Heat Convention pictures.  Every year at convention consultants make cards to swap with each other so here is the card I've made.

Aaron's room inspiration

Here's where I found some inspiration for Aaron's new room.

I love the bright colours in this Pottery Barn bedding

This is a really cool idea from Houzz I don't think Aaron has this many cars but he's on his way.

Aaron's Room before pictures

This is what Aaron's room looked like when we moved in to the house, as you can see it isn't a very big room.

We repainted it and got it ready for a baby boy,

When Aaron was 2 we converted the crib to a toddler bed and decorated the room in Thomas the Train, then last year he moved into a mates bed and I just bought a simple plaid comforter because he didn't show any interest in the boy themes you could buy bedding in (ie Cars, Spiderman, etc)

Now it's time to redo his room, since it hasn't been painted in over 5 years and he now loves Mario and Yoshi that will be the theme.
